Graduating from Altos de Chavon School of Design in 2003, Alicia worked as a designer and later developed into a photographer. As an artist, she strives to create exceptional images. She has assisted National Geographic photographers like David Allan Harvey, Kenneth Garrett, Raul Touzón, and Sebastián Beláustegui in photographic workshops produced by The Santa Fe Workshops, Photo XPeditions and National Geographic Expeditions; as well as her own production company. Teaching in locations like the USA, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic. Her goal is to bring the work and knowledge of her mentors to the Caribbean public, who would otherwise not have the opportunity. 

 

As a member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) & Fearless Photographers Association, Kidd tries to break the rules of classic wedding photography by bringing her documentary style to clients who look for a different experience. She has won various awards for her documentary wedding photography skills.  

 

In addition to working as a full-time documentary photographer, Alicia is a certified expert by Adobe in Photoshop Lightroom; she produces and teaches workshops for professionals, and amateurs, helping them achieve a more efficient workflow. Kidd is a traditional artist working in various mediums like pen and ink, watercolors, gouache, and digital illustration when she doesn't have a camera in her hands. She is currently working on a series of foundation courses to teach about these mediums and how these skills could improve our photographic eye. 

 

Alicia is an artist & philanthropist; she gives her time and photographs to non-profit-volunteer organizations like El Faro de Los Animales (Dog Shelter), Boys and Girls Club of Puerto Rico, Wings of Hope Puerto Rico, All Hands and Hearts, PLCC, and most recently, the East End Art Guild (EEAG). Acting as Vice President/Director of Exhibitions for the EEAG, Kidd plans to continue her dream of making art accessible to everyone by organizing exhibits and workshops.

2017 - Present: Equine Culture of Puerto Rico Status: Exhibited in September 2022, however more images are being produced currently. Limited edition prints have been sold and are continued to be produced and sold.
