Resources & Workshops for Photographers
Resources for photographers working in the wedding photography industry. I have been in this industry for over 12 years. And so, I have learned a thing or two about running a photography business & studio. These are resources for photographers.
Resources for Learning
A big part of being a photographer and a professional at that is staying up to date, staying inspired and always learning. Therefore, learning is fundamental and essential to being an artist. You should always be striving to hone your craft. Constantly looking for new technology to help you capture and express your inspiration at that moment. Think back to when you first held a camera in your hands. How excited, curious or even intimidated where you? You had a new, professional camera in your hands. Did you know how to use it?
Odds are, you didn't know everything about. All the buttons, all the features. All you knew was that you wanted to have it. You needed to use it and learn to shoot better pictures with it.

In terms of #s, try to search within Instagram the #s that you are interested in seeing. Follow these hashtags and make sure to use them in your post when they are relevant. In addition, look for hashtags that are not as popular. And also, use those hashtags. Your photos will be much more relevant this way.
Staying Updated
Also, whether it's artistic trends, retouching styles or technology upgrades, photographers have to stay updated constantly. We have to update our knowledge, our gear, and our marketing. Times change. Technology changes. Ways to market your work change with time and your ideal client or follower changes as well.
While there are so many resources to keep yourself updated, none of them are for free. Your education is an investment. Just like your gear.

Frequently asked questions:
Lastly, I'll copy and paste a few questions I have gotten in the past few months.
- Is Youtube a good place to learn your craft? No. No, it's not.
- How do I find my niche? I would say to research. A niche should be something you specialize in that no one else in your area does. Or at least not as well you do. It's usually something you are very passionate about and maybe makes no sense at all at first.
- When are you hosting a workshop? Where is the info for your workshops? I teach one on one workshops all day every day. You set your time and date, let me know what you want to learn and I will create the itinerary and curriculum. In either one session or up to 12 (one per month).
